Worlds Stage - Sundowners
Bianca Jade
Perth songstress Bianca Jade is an artist confident in the country-folk genre with a cruisy voice perfectly suited to the material. Her acoustic numbers combine an upbeat swing that will have you positively dancing along. The versatility of Bianca Jade's voice is her money, without a doubt. In the blink of an eye the twang disappears and watches from the wings as an almost masculine boldness carries her like a jazz diva. Bianca Jade has toured New York City twice, released two records and toured Australia. Bianca Jade and her band have supported Chris Isaak, KD Lang, Harry Connick Jr and The Black Sorrows.
The Seals
http://www.facebook.com/theseals
Hailing from Perth's northern suburbs, The Seals hit the scene in mid 2010 with a series of raucous and rollicking shows, turning heads and gaining a dedicated following.
Their debut EP was launched in the uproarious setting of an over-capacity venue that literally had people crawling through the windows in order to join in the ruckus.
Playing a unique blend of blues, country, bluegrass and reggae, The Seals have continued to wow audiences with their sweet vocal harmonies, unusual instrumentation and highly energetic stage show.
Their gritty, raw emotion and occasionally lewd lyrics make for a show that will hit you like a punch in the face and have you coming back for more.
Boom! Bap! Pow!

The dynamic 5 piece recently took out the 'Best Funk Act' award at the 2011 WAMI Awards – an honour that stands as a real tribute to their remarkable versatility. While they may get funky at times, Boom! Bap! Pow! also sail the seas of pop and soul with consummate ease. As a result, they were hand picked to support such luminaries as Eli 'Paperboy' Read and The Royal Crown Revue on their recent national tours, delighting punters across the country with their undeniably infectious energy.
Libby Hammer Big Band
The Hip Mo' Toast Big Band is a 14-piece outfit comprising Lib the vivacious vocalist, the regular 'Toastie guys, who play tenor saxophone, piano, bass and drums. In the HMT Big Band we have an augmented rhythm section, which in this case means we have a guitarist too! So far that makes 6, and 2 alto saxophones and a baritone saxophone, 3 trumpeting trumpeters and 2 slide trombones all add up to a veritable hatful of young talented musicians, all of whom are the very quintessence of seemliness.
The HMT Big Band has played at the Perth Jazz Society, The Fly By Night Club, The Perth Zoo's Centenary Celebration and at various outdoor concerts and festivals.
The HMT Big Band has enjoyed two record-breaking residencies at the Greenwich nightclub in downtown Perth and the Varga Lounge in Northbridge.
If you enjoy your jazz-tails with a big horn section swizzle-stick and a Latino twist, then a circumnavigation of the heppest-sphere with the Hip Mo' Toast Big band will get you in the mood!

The Dave Mann Collective (DMC) combines three of Western Australia’s most talented and best-loved musicians – Dave Mann, Roy Martinez and Angus Diggs. Between them they have toured the world, shared the stage with most of Australia’s top performers and played just about every festival you can think of. Together they are an extraordinary musical force – and unlike anything else out there today.
Lead singer Dave Mann is both an accomplished performer and a versatile songwriter with bittersweet songs ranging from ballads, through folk and reggae to rock. He writes from the heart about subjects that touch us all and cuts straight to the truth. His voice is incredibly beautiful and his vocal range astounding. Put this together with open chord tunings, slide guitar and virtuosic playing and something very special is created. And while Dave’s style is constantly evolving and growing it is still instantly recognizable, giving a resonance of familiarity and comfort to the listener.
Combined with the dynamic bass playing of Roy Martinez and the always brilliant and unpredictable genius of Angus Diggs on drums, DMC gigs are always fun, inspirational and moving experiences that take their audiences on a seamless musical journey from fairyland to iconic pub-rock. Always surprising – in the best possible way.
