Helen is now studying voice at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts while honing her confidence and skills in the Perth pub and festival circuit.

The Autumn Isles
The Autumn Isles have always been recognised as a band that knows how to write a great pop song. Engaging in a love affair with timeless pop music from the 60’s and 70’s, The Autumn Isles have been a consistent member of the Perth music scene since their inception in 2005. With a long list of high profile supports and consistent critical acclaim, The Autumn Isles deliver infectious music that displays their musicianship, artistic vision, and above all love of the song writing craft. With the release of their debut full length album Kaleidoscopes earlier this year, The Autumn Isles continue this journey and bring their unique energy to the stage and add converts to their musical cause.
Tiaryn
Tiaryn is one of those truly exciting artists that leaves every audience in awe. The combination of her unique and poetic lyrics, angelic but commanding voice and her deep understanding of harmony and melody produces songs of exceptional creativity. Since graduating from at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Tiaryn has used her Jazz piano knowledge to write and arrange a quirky mixture of jazz, pop and soul originals. Tiaryn’s captivating singing and piano playing is accompanied by a band of incredible musicians consisting of Simon Jeans (guitar), Karl Florrison (bass) and Jacob Evans (drums). Don’t miss a chance to see this star live!
Minky G and the Effects
Jazzy/pop four piece Minky G and the Effects are becoming a staple band in Perth, spreading their brand of catchy, Beatlesque tunes across town.
Fronted by energetic singer/songwriter Minky G, who once accidentally supported Gyroscope, this is a band on the way up, with gigs at The Ellington Jazz Club, Fairbridge Folk Festival and the One Movement Fringe Festival.
On top of this, there are plans to release a single in the next few months, and to take their gigs on tour regionally.
Minky G and the Effects combine Minky Gardner’s songwriting talents with bass player Peter Quayle’s soulful melodies. Add to that some crazy jazz piano chops thanks to Murray Bishop, and George O’Brien’s drumming (did we mention soul queen Sharron Jones once told her she “drum’s like mad, girl!”?) and we’ve got a recipe for good fun and great music.
Travis Caudle
Now dividing his time between North America and Australia as he tours almost non-stop, Travis Caudle’s career continues to go from strength to strength.
His music has recently hit TV screens across the globe with two of his songs appearing on popular US-made dramas Gossip Girl and Flash Forward (joining the likes of Adele, Jeff Buckley, John Lennon and Bob Dylan).
Whether taking to some of the best known stages in Manhattan, Philadelphia, Chicago or Las Vegas or playing pubs in Marble Bar, Karratha, Bathurst or Darwin, the singer/songwriter’s original rock/pop repertoire has a broad appeal.
Beside Lights – Adrian Wilson
With music that explores a contemporary pop-rock sound often compared to bands such as Coldplay, Paramore & The Script - Beside Lights is an engaging young act quickly making waves in the Perth music scene and beyond. 2011 has seen the band make top 10 in Australia for Nova’s ‘I Am With The band’ competition, support Aussie rockers The Vines at Astor Theatre in Perth, & perform at Canada’s largest music festival in Toronto ‘Canadian Music Week’ – now excited to embark on national shows in support of their debut self-titled EP released on the 4th November 2011.
Shameem Taheri-Lee
Shameem is a rare gem on the Australian music scene. With her soulful voice, exotic looks and hard-grooving band, she will wow any audience. Her unique fusion of 90s-esque R&B with funk, jazz and a sense for conscious lyrics is both refreshing and infectious. Recently returned from performances and a song writing collaboration in the UK with Grammy-winning producer James Bryan (Nelly Furtado), this busy artist is planning to release her debut album at the end of the year. Shameem is Australia’s answer to Alicia Keys. “With Shameem you'd have to be locked in a lead-lined room to miss this lady's sparkle.” – James Morrison.
