Qasim Abbas Rahtore
Despite having only started sailing four years ago, the 24 year-old Qasim has already reached an international level.
Since joining the Pakistan navy in 2004, he has attended regular sailing camps, workshops and inter-club competitions.
Recently he has competed in the Asian Games in China and the Asian Beach Games in Muscat, which he says was a good experience that he hopes will stand him in good stead for the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships.
His goal in the sport of sailing is to represent Pakistan at an Olympic Games and to medal, and also to work as a sailing coach at a national level.
