Andrew Lewis
Having recently qualified for the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships through success in a home regatta, Andrew’s star is on the rise.
Sailing isn’t very established in Trinidad and Tobago, but that hasn’t stopped the affable Lewis from making great strides through his involvement with the ENP.
After sailing much of the European World Cup circuit during Perth’s winter, he will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 2011 Pan American Games in Mexico in October, before heading back to Perth to further prepare for the World Championships in December.
With 75 per cent of London 2012 Olympic sailing places on offer at Perth 2011, Lewis is keen to make amends for the disappointment of missing qualification for the Beijing Olympics in 2008 by three countries, and place as high as possible at Perth 2011 in December this year.
