Men’s RS:X Day 15: Close at the top for windsurfing gold
There was fast wind and equally fast windsurfing in the Men’s RS:X Gold fleet racing Saturday, with Piotr Myszka (POL), Dorian van Rijsselberghe (NED) and Przemyslaw Miarczynski (POL) filling the top three places overall.

Slingsby retains lead into Laser Medal Race
Fluky winds played havoc with the Laser Gold Fleet’s final two races on Day 15 of the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships, with two rank outsiders claiming victories — American Rob Crane and Croatian Milan Vujasinovic.

Medal Day for Women’s Match Racing: ISAF Worlds Daily Wrap
USA were crowned Women’s Match Racing world champions while Brazil’s Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada are on the brink of gold medal victory heading into the Star Medal Race Saturday after Day 15 of the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships on Friday.

Brazil moves on up into Top 10 on leaderboard
Friday’s racing in the 470 Women’s fleet on Centre Course belonged to Brazil, as Martine Grael/Isabel Swan sailed a stunning two races to claim a race win and a 2nd and propel themselves up into the top 10 on the leaderboard after races 7 and 8. Racing was held on a windward/leeward course format with the finish coming right in close to the beach in Bather’s Bay under a blue sky and breeze of around 18 knots over the two races.

Stars: Brazilian champions in a strong position ahead of Saturday’s Medal Race
Unless the unthinkable happens, defending world champions Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada (BRA) look set to win the 2011 Star World Championships with an 18 point overall lead going into Saturday’s (17 December) Star fleet Medal Race.

Women’s Match Racing Gold for Anna Tunnicliffe
The USA’s Anna Tunnicliffe, Deborah Capozzi and Molly Vandemoer have taken the Women’s Match Racing gold medal in the final against Great Britain’s Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Kate Macgregor in front of a packed grandstand at Fremantle’s Inner Harbour.
