Busara wins Gold Award at the Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards
Members of both the John Bertrand Club and Gold Medal Club have received a copy of "1000 SAILS" in their membership packs.
The awards night, held on the 28th of August 2010 at the Perth Convention Centre, celebrated excellence in the print, packaging and visual communication industry of WA. Busara won the category, “Special Printing incorporating Innovation”, for their 1000 SAILS book and presentation box. The project will now automatically proceed to the National Awards held later this year.
Scott Sanders, Creative Director at Busara expressed, "It was an honour to work with the Team at Perth 2011 on such a prestigious project. Everyone involved put their heart and soul into the book and the hard work has paid off. We are excited about the months ahead as we work towards the main event."
Creativity and strategic thinking are at the heart of the 1000 SAILS book and presentation box. The limited edition coffee table book show cases Perth to the world as one of the planet’s windiest and most beautiful cities that will in December 2011 welcome more than 1400 athletes to compete for a place at the 2012 London Olympic Games. The book gives an insight into the Olympic dream from both an athlete and coach’s perspective. Full of stunning photographs and inspiring stories the book paints the story for Perth 2011, “Each day, as the wind builds on the ocean, the athletes will wait, heads full of victory dreams, focused on the challenge ahead. Carrying the athletes’ fortunes, the winds will race across the oceans to fill 1000 sails.”
Event Director, John Longley, congratulated Busara on their hard work and creativity, “...The award recognises that we are working together to raise the standard of sailing in Perth and creating an opportunity to engage and inspire the public to take an interest in sailing”.
The book is available as part of Perth 2011’s John Bertrand or Gold Medal Club Membership Packages. Go tohttp://www.perth2011/membership and sign up today.
