Australia's National Male Health Policy
The policy, which is the second of its kind worldwide, provides a framework for improving the health of all males and achieving equal health outcomes for population groups of males at risk of poor health. Importantly, it provides practical suggestions on what action males can take to improve their own health. The National Male Health Policy – Building on the Strengths of Australian Males has nine supporting documents providing in-depth analysis on some issues, such as mental health, healthy limits in regard to risk-taking behaviours and establishing healthy routines. These may be found on the Department of Health and Ageing’s website by clicking here. Men are encouraged to view the documents and take the appropriate action to improve their health.
