Yachting Australia is the national sporting organisation responsible for the administration and promotion of sailing and recreational boating in Australia.

It is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a voluntary Board that provides policy direction to the sport and it runs high performance programmes. Yachting Australia also has seven contracted coaches.
Yachting WA is the state sporting association for recreational boating in Western Australia and is affiliated with Yachting Australia, which is in turn affiliated with the International Sailing Federation - the world governing body of yachting.

Yachting WA represents over 25,000 individual members of whom approximately 2,000 are juniors.
The multi-faceted organisation works to benefit all recreational boaters, both power and sail as well as competitive and social sailors.
Yachting WA provides training and accreditation across the spectrum from junior to elite, offshore racing and cruising, power boat cruising and time trialling, for instructors and examiners across each area and, as an RTO, TAA04 Training and Assessment Competencies.
The technical aspects, resourcing and training of support personnel, race management officers, club officials, racing rules, safety and rescue are all also crucial to the operation of the organisation.
