Milica Dukic

Milica Dukic is one of two Serbian women participating in the fourth ENP. Dukic began sailing at seven in an Optimist, following in her brother’s footsteps. The environment and the camaraderie between the sailors attracted her to sailing. In 2004, she graduated to the Laser Radial class and was national champion, competing against men! She competed at the last ISAF Sailing World Championships (held every four years), in Cascais, Portugal in 2007. In 2008 she raced in New Zealand and Belgium. She currently studies architecture in Venice, Italy. After arriving back from the ENP, Dukic has exams and then two sailing regattas to prepare for! When asked whether she’d pursue sailing or architecture in the future, she chose sailing – ‘I like movement and the outdoors’. She also enjoys swimming.
