ANNA AILE


In Latvia, two of the major sports include ice hockey and basketball. Although Latvia is renowned for its sea and numerous lakes, sailing is not a mainstream sport! Latvian sailor Anna Aile trains on the river near her home and sometimes on a sheltered part of the Baltic Sea. She is the only Latvian woman in the Laser Radial class, who competes internationally. She came third in her class in the Europa Cup in Poland, in 2008. Her coaches are her parents, who share her dream of getting to the Olympics. Anna attended the first ENP Camp and thoroughly enjoyed it. She is very excited to be back!
