About Perth 2011 Sponsorship
The Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships provides a unique opportunity for corporate Australia to align with an Olympic Qualifying Event. The sheer magnitude of the World Championships, the international audience and the involvement of Olympic class athletes in peak physical condition, all being staged in the magnificent capital city of Western Australia, Perth, ensures that sponsors will be keen to become involved.
The sponsorship programme commenced in March 2009 and Perth 2011 set itself a target of 17 sponsors. We are delighted to have reached our target seven months out from the Worlds. But most importantly we are so very proud of the calibre of organisations that have aligned their brand with ours. The Federal and Western Australian governments have been part of 'the dream’ since the bid process commenced in 2007. Their vision and faith in attracting and securing this World Championships is both admired and appreciated by ISAF, WA 2011 Pty Ltd and the sport of sailing across the globe.
Gold Level sponsors QBE and Middeltons joined 'the dream’ in 2009 and have been integral to the successful planning and developments to this point and to the successful staging of the Test Event (The Perth International Regatta) in November 2010. Perth 2011 thanks both companies for their support.
