Skip Lissiman Competition Manager
Skip Lissiman is in charge of the sailing competition and responsible for the co-ordination of racing across ten fleets and six courses. This involves 1200 sailors and 850 boats from some eighty nations. He works closely with ISAF on ensuring that the World Championships are conducted strictly within the Federation's guidelines.
Skip is also a Board Member of Perth 2011 and comes to the World Championships from a long career in yachting both in Australia and internationally. He has sailed in three America's Cups and coached the Victory Challenge team in 2003 for his fourth Cup - 20 years after being winning the America's Cup with the AUSTRALIA II team in 1983.
He is currently the Chairman of the Regatta committee of the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta and has been the Regatta Director of a number of major international match racing regattas, including the Monsoon Cup (Malaysia), Korea Match Cup and the top ranked Australian event the Sunseeker Australia Cup.
Skip was appointed the Executive Officer of the Western Australian Yachting Foundation in 1990.
