Skip Lissiman
Skip was appointed the Executive Officer of the Western Australian Yachting Foundation in 1990.
Sailing has been a large part of Skip's life and he has sailed in many International and National Championships.
Skip has sailed in three America's Cups and coached the Victory Challenge team in 2003 for his fourth Cup - 20 years after being winning the America's Cup with the AUSTRALIA II team in 1983.
He has been an active Etchells skipper for the past 18 years and current National and midwinter Australian Etchells champion.
For services to yachting Skip was awarded the Order of Australia (OAM) in 1984. He was also awarded an Australian Sports Medal in 2000.
He is currently the Chairman of the Regatta committee of the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta and has been the Regatta Director of a number of major international match racing regattas, including the Monsoon Cup (Malaysia), Korea Match Cup and the top ranked Australian event the Sunseeker Australia Cup.
Skip was a member of the organising committee for the 1991 and 2006 Etchells World Championships off Fremantle.
Skip is the Vice President of the International Twelve Meter Class representing Oceania and also the Western Australian representative for team and match racing with Yachting Australia.
